Whitewater Canada River Instructor (Equivalent to NCCP L2 Technical)

Time: 15 hours
Class 5-6 hours
Pool 1-2 hours
Lake 1-2 hours
River 5-6 hours

Evaluation:
- paddling skill evaluation on Class II - II+ whitewater
- 20-minute theory presentation
- 15 minute practical presentation
- Written exam - as method of ensuring material is covered

Pre-requisites:
- Certified as a Basic Instructor
- WKABC Member
- Current FA & CPR
- Class III paddling skills

Certification: Nationally recognized through Whitewater Canada, the governing body for kayaking. The certification is for 3 years, and is for people who wish to provide introductory and basic paddling instruction on whitewater (Class II).
