Recertification involves: 1) Attending one day of a instructor/coach/leader course that is running. Approval must be granted by the Course Conductor delivering the course, prior to the course, for a recertification candidate to attend. Recertification attendance approvals are subject to course registrations, and Course Conductor:Candidate ratios. Recertification candidates are also subject to course sign up, registration, and cancellation policies, as outlined here 2) Having a current membership in the WKABC 3) Successful completion of the following, at the appropriate course standards: a) delivery of a 15-20 minute teaching presentation; b) demonstration of acceptable knowledge of the sport; c) demonstration of requisite paddling skills. Note: recertification candidates will be evaluated using the same criteria applicable for the candidates who are taking the full course. Also Note: recertification for the level of certification that you have is possible only at the same level of course the recertification candidate wishes to attend. Any exceptions must be approved by the prior to attending the course for recertification. |
