River/Advanced River Instructor - Squamish/Whistler BC
- River Instructor - Advanced River Instructor - Instructor recertifications This popular program allows participants the opportunity to receive one or both of the River Instructor, or Advanced River Instructor certifications. Because the courses run at the same time, the theory portions overlap - you can get both certifications in 3 days (instead of 4). Cost for the 3 day course is $225 (membership extra for nonmembers). For those wishing to recertify (one day of the weekend), the cost will be $75. Location: Squamish/Whistler area (water-level dependent). Register On-line |

6th Annual Instructor Weekend - Squamish BC
- Basic Instructor - River Instructor - Freestyle Clinics - Instructor recertifications Once again the WKABC will offer a dual certification program on the Long Weekend in May. Participants have the opportunity to receive one or both of the Basic Instructor, or River Instructor certifications. Because the courses run at the same time, the theory portions overlap - you can get both certifications in 3 days (instead of 4). Again, the WKABC will be providing developmental freestyle/playboating training clinics hosted by a guest freestyle instructor TBA as well as instructor recertifications. This will be a great place to interact with a lot of other instructors, from the expert course conductors to the other instructor candidates, and to hone your freestyle teaching and paddling skills under the guidance of some of the best freestyle paddlers. Cost for the 3 day course is $250 (membership extra for nonmembers). For those wishing to recertify (one day of the weekend), the cost will be $100. Location: Squamish, BC.
