In conjunction with the
Recreational Canoeing Association of BC (RCABC)
the WKABC submitted an input to the District of North Vancouver, looking to work with the district in an attempt to clean up the river in the area of the new Dollarton Bridge.
As well, the WKABC designed a "cow catcher" type structure which could be connected to the proposed
bridge pillars, to reduce the potential for broaching by river users, and to look to reducing the hazard posed by the new bridge pillars.
The WKABC and RCABC jointly supplied input to both the Navigable Waters Protection Division (NWPD), and to the District
