The project list below is from the BC Government web site for water license applications. It includes both present and proposed energy projects with
water licenses. This means existing projects are listed as "current" in the License Status column (note that there are also projects listed as current
which have not yet been built - example Tsable River). The projects noted as "awaiting sign" have been given tenure offers - though this does not mean
the project is proceeding (example - Mkw'alts Creek). Applications listed as "Active" can be range from a long shot water license, to a project in
development.
The list includes the diversion amount (when available) as well as the size of the project (in Megawatts).
This is not a complete list - there are no doubt errors and omissions, both in the governments database, and due to errors that may
have been introduced in producing this list.
It is exceedingly difficult to differentiate amongst the various projects, in terms of status - many are applications, some are being explored,
and others are being pursued. This is a snapshot in time of what we know now.
It now appears that there are few areas of the province where there is not activity.
